Sarracenia alata RED THROAT is a tall beauty. And I mean tall, like 1 m or so. Pitchers are green with a red interior lid and a red throat. Most varieties of S. alata look best in September, however in early spring they produce large and delicate pale yellow to cream colored flowers on tall stems in the early Spring.
