Sarracenia alata RED THROAT is a tall beauty. And I mean tall, like 1 m or so.

Pitchers are green with a red interior lid and a red throat. Most varieties of S. alata look best in September, however in early spring they produce large and delicate pale yellow to cream colored flowers on tall stems in the early Spring.

Sarracenia alata is native to in open bogs and seeps along the Gulf of Mexico coast from Texas to Alabama.
