He named the cultivar 'Hanka' after his daughter, Hana, whose nickname is Hanka. Pinguicula Hanka is a small carnivorous plant known for large, ruffled lilac-to-purple flowers and dual-phase seasonal growth. It is a selected cultivar from a cross between Pinguicula zecheri and Pinguicula rotundiflora.
