Pinguicula APHRODITE

·       A highly famous, elegant cultivar prized for its long, strap-shaped arching leaves and exceptionally large, beautiful purple blooms.

Pinguicula 'Aphrodite' is named after the goddess of beauty, and it earns its name completely. Pinguicula  'Aphrodite' is a popular hybrid butterwort created by crossing Pinguicula agnata and Pinguicula moctezumae. It was bred in 1998 by Jan Flísek and registered in 2000 by Kamil Pásek.

Pinguicula 'Aphrodite'  stands out due to its unique leaf shape—producing long, narrow, tongue-like leaves that arch elegantly outward to form a large, sculptural rosette. Under strong lights, the entire plant blushes a beautiful, deep violet-pink.

'Aphrodite' is a fast, vigorous grower that is highly reliable, making it an incredible centerpiece plant that catches fruit flies and gnats with ease on its long, glittering leaf surfaces.

·        Elegant Arching Foliage: Long, narrow leaves create a highly graceful, fountain-like rosette shape.

·        Beautiful Purple Flowers: Produces exceptionally large, showy flowers that bloom frequently.

·        High Hybrid Vigor: Incredibly tough, fast-growing, and highly tolerant of typical indoor household conditions.
