Drosera becqaerti, South Of Kalemba, Democratic Republic Of the Congo, 30 seeds
Drosera bequaertii is a subshrub and grows primarily in the seasonally dry tropical biome from S. DR Congo to NE. Angola. Drosera becqaertii is still a very rare plant and I'm pleased I can offer it at a competitive price.
Drosera bequaertii was first published by Taton in Bull. Jard. Bot. État Bruxelles 17: 308 (1945). The native range of this species is S. DR Congo to NE. Angola. It is a subshrub and grows primarily in the seasonally dry tropical biome.
Drosera becqaerti slowly grows a stem about 3–4 cm long, and is densely pilose. Leaves are alternate erect and dense at the top of the stem, horizontal or deflexed and less closely arranged on the lower part of the stem; lamina 4–8 x 3–4 mm., obovate to spathulate, glandular towards the margin above, pilose below; stipules 2–4 mm. long, membraneous, lacerated at the apex; petioles 0•5–1•2 x 0•05–0•1 cm., pilose above and densely pilose below.
My exact clone is Drosera bequaertii Variegate, South Of Kalemba, Democratic Republic Of the Congo. Variegation is not very pronounced and I'm not really sure if it transfers to F1 generation. Still, Drosera becqaertii is still a very rare plant in collections and like with a few other plants it would be justified to put a higher price to these seeds. However, again, it's not really difficult to get it to seed, so I feel it's only right to offer it at the same price as the rest.
