Sarracenia - hybrids

Sarracenia x excellens (S. leucophylla x minor var. okeefenokeensis)

Sarracenia x excellens (S. leucophylla x minor var. okeefenokeensis) grows to 80 cm tall and grows fast. Very clumpy for such a tall plant. Elegant and slender with delicate areoles. And maybe most importantly: pitchers last over the winter. Flower is brick red and yellow. We offer 3 sizes: L - 3+ growing points, ca 40 cm tall pitchers, a few side shoots XL - 2-3 flowering size growing points, adult pitchers, many side shootsYou can find cultivation tips on our YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/@RanchOfPlants

Sarracenia - hybrids

Sarracenia x michelliana

Sarracenia x michelliana is a compact plant with stocky pitchers. A hybrid of S. purpurea and S. leucophylla that inherited very nice features from both. From the purpurea parent it has the thickness compactness, and dark venation of the pitchers. Leucophylla brings the white ornamentation of the lid and the upright stance. If taken care of properly, the plant looks like a living lace. You can find cultivation tips on our YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/@RanchOfPlants

Sarracenia - hybrids

Sarracenia x michelliana x flava var. rugelii

Sarracenia x mitchelliana x flava var. rugelii is a hybrid of 3 winterhardy species: leucophylla, purpurea and flava. We tested (forgot) a couple of plants outside on a windowsill back in 2019 and they've been there since and despite having absolutely zero protection. Very bushy, medium size (ca 40 cm) with a dark red gaping maw. Quite clumpy and a fast grower - one of my favourite sarras. Sarracenia - hybrids

Sarracenia x mitchelliana 'KGB'

Sarracenia x mitchelliana 'KGB' has the hotest hot pink pitchers. They start our green with white areoles, but change color as they mature. It is really a sight to see. Unmissable and very good at catching flies. A rather clumpy plant, forms side shoots fast. Keeps those gorgeous pitchers well into the winter. And it's winterhardy. It was bred by M. Srba. Sarracenia 'KGB' is a hybrid of S. leucophylla and S. purpurea. KGB is very similar to the more familiar JUTHATIP SOPER, but the pink is more intense. It is basically the smaller version of 'BERNDT WEILBRENNER II'. You can find cultivation tips on our YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/@RanchOfPlants

Sarracenia x mitchelliana BERND WEILBRENNER II

Sarracenia x mitchelliana 'BERNDT WEILBRENNER II' is a huge plant with the hotest hot pink pitchers. The color looks like it has been photoshopped or something. Visitors to the greenhouse often ask if this color is real or what we did to the plant. Yup, it's super real and super pink, we didn't do anything, we just water the plants and watch them grow. Pitchers start our green with white areoles, but change color as they mature. It is really a sight to see. Unmissable and very good at catching flies. A rather clumpy plant, forms side shoots fast. Sarracenia x readii 'FARNHAMII' is a clump forming and fast growing hybrid. Its parents are S. leucophylla and S. rubra, which is a great combination of characters for a first rate houseplant. Leucophylla brings into the mix the pure white areoles and rubra the fast growth and clumpyness. Pitchers turn deep red in autumn. Plant overwinters with many large phyllodia. pitchers are up to 40 cm tall. You can find cultivation tips on our YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/@RanchOfPlants

Sarracenia - hybrids

Sarracenia x stevensii BOOBIE JO

Sarracenia x stevensii Boobie Jo is a hybrid Sarracenia rubra subsp. gulfensis x leucophylla. We obtained is under the name Boobie Jo, yes, Boobie, not Bobbie. We know it was bred in UK in 2019, but not much more than this. Despite having a slightly scant provenance, the plant is really pretty. It grows to 40ish cm tall. Pitchers on young plants are intensely pink and small. Only on adult plants do pitchers reveal their true beauty: rich red background, dotted with a lace of fenestrations and a very wavy lid. Sarracenia - hybrids

Sarracenia x swaniana 'BARBAPAPA'

Sarracenia x swaniana 'BARBAPAPA' selected cultivar of a naturally occuring hybrid between S. purpurea var. venosa and S. minor var. minor. The cultivar name is a reference to the cartoon character barbapapa. The round stocky red pitchers actually do resemble a barbapapa. Sarracenia BARBAPAPA is a beginner sarra, and winterhardy too. If grown indoors care should be taken that it recieves enough light to keep the nice deep red color. In lower light the pitchers are green, with red venation. This is also the color phase all developing leaves go thru. Each growing tip produces many pitchers. Pitchers persist over the winter, which is a typical purpurea trait. Because of the number of pitchers and their girth, the plant looks clumpier than it actually is. You can find cultivation tips on our YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/@RanchOfPlants

Sarracenia - hybrids

Sarracenia x wrigleyana 'SCARLET BELLE' (S. leucophylla x psittacina)

Sarracenia x wrigleyana 'SCARLET BELLE' is a classic. It develops its deep red coloration even if kept in semi-shade. Also it is a smallish low-growing plant. The mouths of it's traps are folded onto themselves unlike in any other pitcher plant. The plant is vigorous, but not clumpy, and keeps it's ''octopus'' shape for years. All of these facts make it an excellent, exotic or even alien looking houseplant. Because it doesn't need full sun to color up an intense red, you can easily grow it on a windowsill. S. x wrigleyana is one of the so-called snakehead hybrids, progeny of S. psittacina. Sarracenia wrigleyana is a psittacina x leucophylla cross. We sell medium sized plants with one growing point, You can find cultivation tips on our YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/@RanchOfPlants

Tomato seeds

Simon's Green Pear, salad, 15 seeds

Surprisingly, a salad type. Pear shaped tomatos are usually cherry types. But not this one. Simon's Green Pear grows only in twos or threes, unlike the cherry types and is also about twice the size. Our friend couldn't get seeds of the Green Pear variety, so be selected his own green pear. This is the result and it's really impressive. Good size, good taste.

Earrings

Sitting cat, cat earrings, light & dark blue

A unique set of earrings, literally one of a kind! Pendants are made of epoxy resin. Ear hook is metal alloy. One third of the revenue from the sale of this product goes thoward cats in need. When funds collect I donate to local cat shelters or individual rescuers and feeders of stray cats. Second third buys food and vet services for my herd of cats. My cats are all former strays. I try to adopt at least one cat per year, especially those that are not easily adoptable. And last third buys more material, so I can make more cool stuff to sell and help more cats. Each pair of earings sold makes many cat's lives a little better.
