Sarracenia Hummer's hammerhead is a cross between S. (psittacina x rubra subsp. alabamensis) x rubra subsp. alabamenesis. It was bred by John Hummer and the shape of the pitcher heads with the elongtated lid look kinda like a hammerhead shark.

This plant is a weed and grows extremely fast. Adult plants form beautiful colorful specimens with an abundance of short and sturdy pitchers. Once given full sun, the pitchers develop a yellow tinge to them.
