The name Pingulcula primuliflora derives from the fact it flowers very early in the spring and its flowers resemble flowers of primroses. There are 3 types of Pinguicula primuliflora I'm familiar with: typical, white flower form and Rose, which has a flore pleno mutated flower.
Pinguicula primuliflora is self-fertile, but must be pollinated to be fertilized. In autumn it also reproduces vegetatively by vivipary; a tiny plant sprouts almost at the apex of each long autumn leaf.
Seeds on offer were produced by selfing typical form of Pinguicula primuliflora.
