As a true seasonal grower, Pinguicula ehlersiae Tolantogo shifts into a highly compact, flower-like winter succulent rosette that is incredibly fun to watch. Its dainty, long-stemmed reddish-pink flowers add an extra layer of elegance when they bloom in the spring.
Pinguicula ehlersiae Tolantogo can sometimes be seen also found labeled as Pinguicula sp. Tolantogo. Laurent Legendre found this clone in the collection of Helmut Kibellis in Castle Hill, in Australia. Helmut Kibellis has been growing Pinguicula for 40 years. The plant seems to come originally from the botanical garden of Göttingen (Germany), from the Pinguicula collection at the time curated by Mr Lautner.
