Will the shipping address for plants/seeds be outside Europe? In that case I strongly suggest you also purchase a phyto certificate. You only need ONE per shipment. After placing the order I will contact you for some additional information important for obtaining the phyto certificate for your order. This information will be needed by Administration for Food Safety, Veterinary Sector and Plant Protection of Slovenia. For countries in TRACES system the certificate is digital, for others it's in print. I'll arrange the documents, you'll just need to arrange shipping/pickup from your customs once the parcel is cleared.
Please note:
1. Plant passports (PP) are always included. A PP is not a Phyto certificate. Plants travel freely within EU with PP only. Plants sent outside EU should travel with a Phyto certificate.
2. If you do not purchase a Phyto certificate you hereby agree to not claim any refund, damages or other in case your order is held by customs, lost in transit, is damaged or destroyed, or experiences any other problem.
3. A
Phyto Certificate (PC) makes it 99% certain your parcel passes customs. It is issued for a period of 15 days. We do our best to send your parcel on the same day a PC is issued. PC is not a guarantee plants arrive alive.
In case you purchase a Phyto certificate and the plants arrive dead in most cases we will be happy to do a refund, provided the plants were in transit for up to 10 days and we were able to pack them according to what is best for that particular species (may differ from phytosanitary requirements or your wishes), or send you a replacement plant with your next order, provided the plants were in transit for up to 14 days and we were able to pack them according to what is best for that particular species (may differ from phytosanitary requirements or your wishes).
You also agree to not be reimbursed for shipping, Phyto certificate or any other costs. Any claims for those you will make directly with the shipping service(s) and Administration for Food Safety, Veterinary Sector and Plant Protection and your country's customs, respectively.
4. Very important: Plants don't care for paperwork. How plants survive transit and how long they survive in transit depends on species, vegataton phase (dormant/active), ambient temperature, size of plant, method of packing. In general up to 10 days should be no problem for any plant.
Plants are living organisms. Before packing they are cleaned and checked. They are packed with the greatest care and sent within 12 hour of packing. Transit always presents stress for the plants. Also natural senescense of older leaves doesn't stop, it's possibly even faster in transit. So some brown or black leaves are to be expected even with short transit times. On the other hand I've seed plants survive up to 6 weeks in transit.
If you have ANY questions regarding shipping, shipping time, phyto certificates, packing, refunds etc., please don't hesitate to contact me.
