Drosera aliciae forms tight rosettes of wedge-shaped leaves. There is some variation in size from location to location, with the largest up to 5 cm in diameter. Under good light the insect-snagging tentacles will become deeply coloured with anthocyanin pigments, which probably aid in attracting insect prey. The plant produces attractive scapes of large deep pink flowers, which are held around 30 cm away from the carnivorous leaves, to prevent pollinators from becoming dinner. Drosera aliciae is similar in form to a number of other closely related species such as Drosera slackii Drosera natalensis and Drosera admirabilis.
