Description
Atropa belladonna is a forest perennial, up to 1,5 m high. It's branches are filled with beautiful bell-shaped flowers. It is one of few tall shade tolerant plant species. Very interesting plant, but also very dangerous if ingested. An alkaloid extracted from it, atropine, is a deadly poison but also a drug used in oftalmology.
