Allium ericetorum grows wild from Portugal to Ukraine. It is a species of dry rocky areas on limestone and can be found from lowlands to the montane belt. In most populations the flowers are pale yellow. In some populations a few percent of individuals have flowers of a faded pink color, while most are still pale yellow.
