Subtropical Drosera

A naturaly occuring cross of D. rotundifolia and D. spatulata, originating in Japan, where the native ranges of both parent species intersect. Looks very similar to spatulata and does not go dormant, so it's often mislabeled as a true spatulata. Tiny hot pink flowers on very long stalks. Self fertile and self seeds like it wants to take over the world. You get 4 adult plants per portion, plus seedlings. This sundew is so tough it's often a weed in collections. So, definitely a good choice for a begginer.

CP seeds

A naturaly occuring hybrid of D. rotundifolia and D. spatulata, originating in Japan, where the native ranges of both parent species intersect. Looks very similar to spatulata and it's often mislabeled as a spatulata. Unlike rotundifolia it does not need dormancy, but can go dormant in low temperatures even if it doesn't form a hibernaculum. Our greenhouse drops to just above freezing in winter and I haven't ever seen Drosera tokaiensis go dormant.

Tomato seeds

Red with a brownish tinge. Salad size, beefstake type. Deep, rich taste. Potato leaf. This variety was introduced by Earl Cadenhead. The first plant was an abberant seedling from a packet of Red Brandywine from a seed trade. He kept the plant, grew it for several years and then shared the seeds.

Substrate

Substrate mix for epiphytic species: epiphytic Utricularia, Nepenthes, Bromeliaceae. 2L package. This is the soil mix we make and use for our plants. This mix contains: natural Baltic peat, perlite, natural pine bark and dry Sphagnum moss.No additives, pH around 3. Soak in rainwater before use.

Tomato seeds

An orange paste tomato. This variety always attracts a crowd on our tomato exhibition. Why? It is the tomato equivalent of the Peter Pepper chilly. In other words it looks like what boys have and girls don't. Blushing yet? Does it need also to be mentioned that Eros is the Greek god of love? This variety was bred by the Czech breeder Milan Sodomka in 1976.

Dionaea (Venus Flytrap)

Dionaea muscipula Fused Teeth is a famous and outstanding clone. Leaves are always prostrate, petioles are short and traps are a little larger than typical. The plant is of a yellowish green color. Plant grows reliably and is not fussy. The teeth and the inside of the traps are red to almost purple, depending on the intensity of the light. The teeth are what really sets this clone apart. Teeth of very young plants and spring leaves are normally shaped. But as the season progresses the teeth start to fuse. First two by two, then whole locks, until all the teeth are fused like they were combed together. At this point the teeth stick out perpendicular to the trap. Fused Teeth was bred by Lucien Blacher.
