Sarracenia leucophylla f. viridescens L46C MK, Perdido, AL, antho free Summary

Sarracenia leucophylla f. viridescens L46C MK, Perdido, AL, antho free

Sarracenia leucophylla f. viridescens L46C MK, is an antho free clone, collected originally in Perdido, Alabama. It is a true antho free, not just an alba form. It does not produce red pigment at all, not even on the rhizome or wounds. Even its flower is yellow, instead of red. It's a vigorous and quite tall clone. It's used extensively in hybridizing with other antho free plants. For us the L46C MK has proved a very fecund male and female parent in many crosses, including with rubra and purpurea with seedlings having an excellent germination and growth rates.
